Alan McQueen, Executive Director of Finance
Alan was appointed Executive Director of Finance in 2008 after three years with ENABLE Scotland in the role of Financial Controller. Alan is a Certified Chartered Account and and also holds a BA Hons in Accountancy.
Alan began his accounting career with a small firm in Ayrshire before moving to the bright lights of Glasgow in 1996. As a result of company mergers, the following four years saw Alan work for three separate accounting firms, eventually working for Scott Moncrieff, Chartered Accountants. Alan gained a wide business exposure to a diverse range of clients during this period, including sole trader, small and medium private companies, pensions funds, charity sector, building industry and the motor trade. In 2000 Alan made his first steps in to the charity sector on a full-time basis by taking on the Finance Manager role with St Andrews Ambulance Association before joining ENABLE Scotland in 2005.
Alan lives in Ayrshire and is married with three children. His interests include football, golf and listening to all types of music. He also enjoys cooking and makes a mean curry.
