Support our response to the Bill

What ENABLE Scotland thinks about the bill...

  • We welcome the Bill and its intention to enhance carer rights and improve carer wellbeing

  • We want the Bill to be amended to include emergency and future planning for carers

  • We want emergency planning to be included in Adult Carer Support Plans and Young Carer Statements

  • We want information and advice services to provide information and advice on emergency and future planning

  • We want these duties to be written into the Carers (Scotland) Bill to ensure that all carers have access to emergency and future planning in all local authorities.

  • We know that emergency planning reduces worry and anxiety for carers and the people they care for and stops emergencies becoming crises.
Do you agree with us?

Please support our position by telling the Health and Sport Committee that you think the Bill should be amended to include emergency and future planning. Find out how to respond here.
