Congratulations to ENABLE Scotland member Peter McMahon and the HUBS campaign team for being shortlisted as finalists in this year’s SCVO Charity Awards.

Peter McMahon, a long-term supporter of ENABLE Scotland, has been nominated for Charity Champion – an award previously won by Bill Learmonth. Peter’s was shortlisted as “a tireless volunteer and campaigner for people with learning disabilities. His dedication, energy and enthusiasm shine through in his anti-bullying campaigning work and his many voluntary roles, which include developing a gardening project to inspire school pupils with learning disabilities and volunteering at a swimming club for people with disabilities.”
The HUBS (Help Us Be Spontaneous) campaign is up for Cracking Campaign of the Year for “achieving its aim of better support for disabled passengers to travel by train through the new ScotRail franchise, and for empowering our members with decision making and campaigning skills.”
