Health Working Group Scotland
The Health Working Group is a joint project by ENABLE Scotland and the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability. Membership is drawn from voluntary organisations and health services and includes parents and carers and people who have learning disabilities as well as professionals. It meets four times a year to talk about the health and medical issues that affect people who have learning disabilities.

The work of the Health Working Group has included looking at:
- How health boards have followed up the recommendations from the Mauchland Fatal Accident Inquiry
- Covert medication
- Nurse training
- Improvements within NHS 24
- Medication and PEG feeding.
Many researchers approach voluntary organisations to find people who have learning disabilities and their families who would be willing to take part in research. The Health Working Group has put together
some questions that researchers should think about.
