Elections and Voting
The laws and policies that are passed by Westminster, the Scottish Parliament, and by local councils can all affect children and adults who have learning disabilities and their families in Scotland. The UK Government at Westminster decides benefits changes, employment regulations, and equality law. The Scottish Parliament decides on health services, education and training, social care, housing, transport, and law and order in Scotland. Local councils decide what local services will be provided in an area and how much people will pay for these.

All of these things are important to people who have learning disabilities and their families.
