Local Campaigning
ENABLE Scotland assists local campaign groups to campaign on issues affecting people who have learning disabilities across Scotland. Additionally we have 55 branches across Scotland who support our local and national campaigning activities.
Examples of local campaigning might include:
- raising awareness of the needs of people who have learning disabilities and their parents and carers
- changing the way individuals or agencies deliver a service to families
- trying to get a new or better service
- trying to prevent the closure of a service which is valued
If you believe a local campaign is required in your area or if you would like to let us know of any good examples of local campaigns please contact us at National Office on 0141 226 4541.
ENABLE Scotland has published its own guide to campaigning, called "How To Campaign". Click here to access "How To Campaign".
