Your rights

We all have some rights, such as the right to live and the right to be treated fairly. And having rights means other people must respect the choices you make.

It is important to understand your rights.  Sometimes you might help need to find out what your rights are, or you might need to fight for your right to do something.

It is also important to understand that you do not have the right to do anything you want.  As well as rights, people also have responsibilities.  Responsibilities are rules that are just as important as rights, and are the things you should do to be a good citizen.

If you want to find out more about your rights and responsibilities, you can email ENABLE DIrect (enabledirect@enable.org.uk) or phone them on 0300 0200 101.
