Support for families

ENABLE Scotland works with families living with learning disabilities throughout Scotland. We support parents with children who have learning disabilities from birth all the way through to adulthood. We also provide parents who have learning disabilities with support.

Research launched

ENABLE Scotland has recently launched research that shows more needs to be done to stop the tortuous journey many parents face when waiting a diagnosis of their child’s learning disability – and highlights ten steps that need to be taken to make things better.

"Exploring Concerns Around a Child’s Diagnosis of a Learning Disability (Including ASD): Experiences of Parents, Young People and Professionals in Scotland."

You can download the full report and executive summary to find out more.

Have you been diagnosed on the autism spectrum? You could help train professionals to diagnose people in future.
