Clubs & Organisations

If your club, organisation or church fundraises for charity please consider nominating ENABLE Scotland. We can provide a guest speaker to talk to you about our work and what is happening in your local area.

The Rotary Club of Linlithgow chose to support ENABLE Scotland in 2010 and raised £2,500 through their annual charity golf day.

Schools

8 out of 10 children with learning disabilities will be bullied. The ENABLE Scotland Spellathon Pack provides schools with a fun way to increase learning and understanding of learning disabilities while also raising vital funds.

Calling all choirs in Scotland

To celebrate ENABLE Scotlands 60th anniversary, we are looking for choirs across Scotland to take part in the project, Sing your Heart out for ENABLE.  With your help, ENABLE Scotland will continue to work with individuals on one of our innovative programmes called Inspire Me which engages with young people who have learning disabilities by supporting them to gain employability skills and increase their confidence.  This programme engages with young people aged 14-25years. Gaining confidence can be achieved by joining a choir and supporting each other in celebrating singing talent, just like the young people who enjoyed their recording experience at Forth One 97.3!
We have already had support from choirs including Helensburgh Dorian Choir and Bearsden Choir.  Helensburgh Dorian Choir donated 50p from each ticket sale at their Spring concert in May and raised £100 for ENABLE Scotland!  Bearsden Choir invited a couple of staff members from ENABLEs fundraising team to do a bucket collection at their recent concert in Sherbrooke St Gilberts Church which raised a total of £150!

With more choirs already secured to support this fantastic project later in the year, we are anticipating a harmonious 60th year!.
