During my school life I experienced being left out and being excluded from some activities and classes, although never actually excluded from attending school. I think some of this was due to a false diagnosis of ADHD. I was not diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome until S2 at High School.

The diagnosis by the school psychologist made a massive change to my life. After my diagnosis I was moved to special classes. There was an improvement in my education and I felt more supported and could cope better with my learning. My experience of bullying was horrendous, especially the verbal abusive bullying and sometime physical bullying. The school did not address the bullying. This went on all through my school days.
