ENABLE Scotland was founded as a membership organisation by the parents of children who have learning disabilities. Today ENABLE Scotland continues to be led by our members.
Our members are people who have learning disabilities, their families and carers. Members also include people who work with people who have learning disabilities and other professionals in the voluntary sector.
Our members are actively involved in the governance of the organisation and participate in campaigning and policy work. Over the years our membership body has used its influence to make positive changes in the community, helping to improve the opportuntities open to people who have learning disabilities.
