ENABLE Scotland has spent more than two years preparing for the implementation of personaliastion and working with support staff and the people we support about the benefits of self directed services and personalised flexible services.
Gearing up for personalisation has meant change. Change in the way we do things and change in the way people who receive services from ENABLE Scotland live their lives. Ensuring that a person is supported to choose the right support staff is paramount to the success of personalised services. Equally, support staff need to understand that the ethos behind personalisation is key to making it work for people.
ENABLE Scotland has worked with a number of service providers and other voluntary organisations to help bed in the systems and processes required to enable people to successfully direct their own support. ENABLE Scotland offers a range of consultancy services including:
training for front line staff;
quantitative research involving the people you support;
review of recruitment processes;
review of billing processes; and
overview of evidence from pilot schemes and focus groups on personalisation.
