Friends

Meeting new people and keeping in touch with friends is important to everyone. For some people who have learning disabilities there may already be lots of different people in their lives. Doctors, teachers, social workers and care workers as well as family are all people who matter to us, but it is still important to build personal friendships.

ENABLE Scotland can help you to form links with people in your community who have similar interests. We can put you in touch with people who enjoy doing the same things as you.

We use natural links when meeting people. Joining local classes or clubs is a good way to get in touch with people who like the same things. There is also the ENABLE Scotland Dates and Mates group which you can join online.
