Planning support
Personalisation is all about directing your own support. You may also have heard people call it Self Directed Support. Being in charge of your own budget means you are also in charge of planning how the money will be spend.
After completing you Self Evaluation Questionnaire you will be asked to create an Outcome Based Support Plan. This plan is all about the things you want to use your money for and what you want to achieve with it. In other words outcomes.
Planning your outcomes is important. Your local council will want to know what sort of things you are using your budget for. Your outcomes will be unique because they will be based on what you want to get out of life. Some people use the money to go to college, or do some training in order to get a job.
Completing the forms can seem confusing, but it doesn't have to be. ENABLE Scotland offer a planning service. We can organise for someone to visit you at home and go over the paperwork with. They can help you to complete the Self Evaluation Questionnaire and your Outcome Based Support Plan.
