Lend a Hand

Lend a Hand is ENABLE Scotland’s family based short break care service and provides a service to families living in Fife who have a child with learning disabilities.  From birth to 18years.

The support is provided by volunteer short break carers and befrienders.

ENABLE Fife Services produced a film to demonstrate what the service can offer.  Children, parents and volunteers got the opportunity to express their views about how Lend a Hand has changes their lives.

The film was funded by Brian Bain who was due to become a volunteer for the service but tragically died before his role started. A collection from his funeral raised funds for the Lend a Hand service and his family gave their blessing for the film to be made to encourage other people to get involved with the service.
