People we support

Here are stories from some of the people we have supported to find a job:

David Diston

David is a man who is renowned for his respectable work ethic. The 38-year-old has been a valued member of staff at The Time Capsule in Coatbridge for more than a decade and states that his job there has changed his life for the better. David was in his mid-twenties when he joined the ENABLE Works programme.

Margo Hailstones

Margo has worked in her local nursing home in Bellshill for more than eight years. Naturally shy and quiet, Margo found that for many years she was at her most comfortable with her familiar routines and in the company of her family. But as she approached the age of 40, her sister-in-law Sharon felt that she was not living life to the full and was capable of achieving and giving so much more.

Graham Kirkpatrick

From football stadium grounds man, to supermarket worker and catering assistant…. 20-year-old Graham Kirkpatrick has checked out several employment opportunities since taking part in ENABLE Scotland project, Stepping-Up.

Kirsty Dolan

Kirsty Dolan has worked at her local branch of Scotmid for more than a decade and is known by her colleagues as a valuable and enthusiastic member of the team. Joining the ENABLE Works programme motivated Kirsty and helped her to develop some of the basic skills she needed to prepare herself for the workplace.
