Young Families Support Network

Being a parent is difficult enough. Finding yourself the parent of a child who has additional support needs is even more challenging.
You may feel alone and unsupported, or bewildered and confused by all the advice and information suddenly heaped upon you.

We have experience supporting parents, providing advice and information and making information accessible to those with a learning disability.

Why join YFSN?

You will:

  • be sent our quarterly newsletter which highlights useful information about support groups, organisations, events, websites and other news.
  • have access to support from our Development Officer by email or telephone.

  • be invited to ENABLE Scotland events for parents and have the opportunity to get involved in our campaigns to improve the lives of young people who have learning disabilities.

If you would like to join our growing network you can become an ENABLE Scotland member for free. Just fill in our membership form and remember to tick the box to join the Young Families Support Network.

The network is also represented in ENABLE Scotland by the Young Families Support Committee

Members of the network are encouraged to identify local issues, which can then be addressed by the national Committee as appropriate. Members of the Young Families Support Network can apply to become a member of the Committee if they wish.
