Raymond O’Hare – Chief Information Officer
Raymond is the Chief Information Officer for ENABLE Group and is responsible for creating and delivering the organisation’s Digital Strategy.
In a career which started at The Royal Bank of Scotland in 1976, Raymond has worked in Government, and in a number of UK, European and US based companies including working for the Microsoft Corporation in a variety of UK wide roles and then as the Director of Microsoft in Scotland where he was responsible for Bill Gates’ only official visit to Scotland in 2007 and for bringing Microsoft’s European Government Leaders Forum to Edinburgh.
Raymond has held a variety of board positions in Scotland including as Chairman of the Institute of Directors, Board member of the SQA and Young Scot and as Non-Executive Director of the Government’s Post 16 Education Reform Board, member of the government’s National Economic Forum and Skills Utilisation Leadership Group. Raymond also served on the board of Scotland IS, the trade body for the technology industry in Scotland and was the Chairman of ProjectScotland, the charity which helps young people through supported volunteering opportunities for five years, until their merger with Volunteering Matters in 2021.
Leading the Technology and Change Team at ENABLE, Raymond’s role focuses heavily on innovation, exploiting existing and emerging technologies, and making the best use of data to improve the services and support we offer our customers.
