How your donation helps

With your help, we can be there for families who have nowhere else to turn.

We can be there to support children who have a learning disability at every stage of their lives – to make sure they enjoy the same choices and opportunities as everyone else and grow up as equal members of society.

Here are just some of the ways your donation can make a difference today:

  • £10 gives a family in crisis somewhere to turn.
Your donation will fund a call to our helpline for families who urgently need advice and support.
  • £25 creates a space each month for someone to belong and feel valued.
Your donation will give adults and young people who have a learning disability the chance to make friends, share their experiences and encourage others to speak out on what matters to them.
  • £50 covers the cost of securing essential benefits that can transform the life of a person who has a learning disability.
Your donation will fund our welfare rights officer to prepare a Personal Independence Payment application on behalf of someone who has a learning disability. With an average of £3,000 in benefits secured per individual, this support transforms lives.

“This sounds really drastic, but I seriously don’t think my wife and I would be together without the support of RASCALS. We struggled, as a lot of parents do, when their child is diagnosed with a learning disability. I know a lot of parents haven’t managed to still be a couple, but with the support of RASCALS and ENABLE Scotland, we’re still a family.”
