Registration Open for Scotland’s Kiltwalk 2021!
After a two year break, the live event Kiltwalk returns in Glasgow for Scotland’s Kiltwalk 2021 on Sunday 26 September!
#TeamENABLE – this is your chance to sign up and pledge to raise at least £100 for ENABLE Scotland’s charitable services! And once again, thanks to the generosity of The Hunter Foundation, all funds you raise will be topped up by a massive 50%!
As continuing Covid-19 rules for large events mean total numbers are limited, we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible to help us get a big group of #TeamENABLE walkers on the start-line to fundraise for our charity.
There are two distances to choose from this year:
- Mighty Stride (16.5 miles) – Glasgow Green to Meadow Leisure Centre, Dumbarton
- Wee Wander (3.5 miles) – Glasgow Green to Riverside Museum, Glasgow
As well as only being able to accommodate around half as many walkers as took part in the 2019 Kiltwalk, there are some other enforced changes since the last pre-pandemic live Kiltwalk:
- ENABLE Scotland staff are not allowed to meet you at the Start or Finish lines.
- You need to arrange your own travel to and from the Kiltwalk Start and Finish lines.
- Face coverings can be removed during the walk, but must be worn at the Start and Finish lines, and also at Pit Stops (unless you are exempt).
Thousands of people are looking forward to raising funds for their chosen charities, and Kiltwalk registrations will be on a first come, first served basis.
Therefore, for your best chance of a place on Scotland’s Kiltwalk 2021, please register for #TeamENABLE as soon as possible. Based on overall Kiltwalk sign-ups, we cannot guarantee places for everyone who registers with us, so please sign up as soon as you can!
The Kiltwalk is a mass participation walking event that raise much-needed funds for ENABLE Scotland and other Scottish charities and projects. Annual Kiltwalk events have taken place in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh. During the pandemic, we have continued to work with the Kiltwalk to fundraise on behalf of the charity, with a record number of participants undertaking their own Virtual Kiltwalk in support of this great cause.
Kiltwalkers have made a big difference to the work of ENABLE Scotland in recent years, raising in excess of an incredible £200,000 to help us provide life-changing support to children and adults who have a learning disability right across Scotland.
With the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation, all funds raised are topped up by 50%
Join #TeamENABLE at the next Kiltwalk, and help us to break down the barriers to an equal society for every person who has a learning disability.
