Ivan Cohen – Virtual Kiltwalk Ambassador – Scottish Council
Ivan is a member of ENABLE Scotland, and the Convenor of our Scottish Council, giving him a strong voice to support the rights of people with learning disabilities.
Ivan is the first every person with a learning disability to be elected to the position of Convener of ENABLE’s Scottish Council. This position allows him to inform and direct ENABLE Scotland’s campaign priorities.
Ivan is passionate about giving a voice to people with learning disabilities on issues that effect them and helping to achieve ENABLE Scotland goal of achieving an equal society for every person with a learning disability.
In the recent COVID-19 Pandemic, Ivan witnessed first hand the feelings of isolation that many people with a learning disability have faced after the cancellation of regular groups such as ACE.
With the help of ENABLE Scotland and the new ACE Connect programme, Ivan has been able to find a sense of community again during these uncertain times and let his voice be heard once again.
Ivan and ENABLE Scotland need your help to ensure these services and projects can continue to help support our members and make sure they are still able to live the life they choose.
Please show your support for Ivan on his Virtual Kiltwalk Challenge of walking around Inverleith Park 5 times and help ENABLE Scotland to continue to provide vital support to people with learning disabilities.
