Glasgow Cuppa Club
The Glasgow Cuppa Club is a regular meeting place with a simple vision: to connect carers so that they can help support each other through the unique challenges of being a carer.
Funded by the Glasgow Transformation Fund, the Glasgow Cuppa Club offers a free lunch and support and advice to older carers of people who have a learning disability living in Glasgow.
A relaxed, friendly welcome greets each carer when they arrive through the door, whilst friendship and companionship have come to define the shared space within.
Spending several hours connecting with others means that, on leaving, each carer can return to pick up their caring role with renewed spirit – knowing that they have an extra network of support available if they need it.
