Let us introduce you to Jason:

Jason loves anything Celtic and watching football. Jason has set days for particular activities. Jason is known in his area and this is added into his activities on that day. Jason would benefit from someone who is active and willing to go to the gym. Jason enjoys a challenge, mind Jason needs to win,  Jason does like to put his on thoughts on the rules, which makes for an unexpected outcome at times.

A typical day for Jason is organising his daily board so he knows what order he is doing his activities. Jason is fun loving and needs someone who has the same attitude to life.

Jason's downtime is watching movies (the scarier the better), listening to music and playing games either on the WII or board games, as long as it keeps him entertained.

Jason needs someone who has a car as this is part of his support and loves doing things with the support he receives and experiencing things that we take for granted.

A typical day could be going to the shops to ensure Jason has all the essentials he needs, or even just to have a wander around his local community.  Sadly, it’s not always possible for Jason to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.

That is why Jason needs you! Will you bring your  best so that Jason can live his best life?

Personal Assistants have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with ENABLE Scotland is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.

About You

If you think you share the same interests and have the commitment, dedication, and above all, desire to support Jason to get the most out of life; then please apply now!

ENABLE Scotland needs you and your values to help us create an equal society for every person who has a learning disability.
