Kilmarnock

Personal Assistants have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with ENABLE Scotland is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.

This role will be working across several different services, Supporting Lee, Susan, Eve and Amy.

Let us introduce you to everyone:

Lee loves watching wrestling and football.  He enjoys playing the PlayStation and having some lazy days.  When Lee can, he loves going to the football to support his local team and also getting out and about with his dog.  A typical day could be going to the shops to ensure Lee has all the essentials he needs, or even just to have a wander around his local community. In his downtime, Lee likes to chill out with a coffee and browse Youtube. Sadly, it’s not always possible for Lee to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.

Susan enjoys getting out in the community and treating herself to lunch and coffees.  She enjoys trips to the seaside in her car and making the most of the day.  Susan enjoys meeting up with her friends when she can and getting to her clubs.  Susan needs some help with every day tasks, which is given through her support.
Eve and Amy share a home and are close friends.  Eve loves to watch Netflix and visit her family.  Amy enjoys listening to music with her daily paper.  Both ladies enjoy getting to their clubs to socialise. They both enjoy outings in their car, making the most of good weather.

That is why they need you! Will you bring your best so that they can live their best life?

About You

If you think you share the same interests and have the commitment, dedication, and above all, desire to support Lee, Susan, Eve and Amy to get the most out of life; then please apply now!
