Midlothian Local Area Co-ordination (LAC) works alongside people from birth to 65 years of age, including children and adults who have a learning disability, physical disability, or sensory impairment, and their families.
LAC works individually, with families and with communities of interests, enabling development where relevant interest groups are not available.
LACs work alongside people to enable them to identify and work towards their dreams and build good lives.
LAC also works alongside communities, groups and organisations, supporting them to become more welcoming and inclusive.
By helping people build their own capacity, LAC enables people to stay strong and independent.
