Inclusion Europe

Enable is a founding member of Inclusion Europe, a pan-European network representing 20 million people with intellectual disabilities and their family members from 39 European countries. Enable’s CEO Theresa Shearer is vice president of Inclusion Europe.

Citizen Network

Citizen Network is a global non-profit cooperative movement, formed to create a world where everyone matters, and everyone can be an equal citizen. Members work together to create welcoming communities for everyone and to form a powerful movement for change around the world. We share the impact of our PA Model of social care on a global stage through this powerful network.

National Involvement Network

As a member-led organisation, Enable signed up to the National Involvement Network in 2021, committing to work within the principles of the Charter for Involvement.

Restraint Reduction Network

Enable campaigns for the rights of children and adults to be free from the risk of harm through unnecessary and unregulated physical restraint.
The UK-wide Restraint Reduction Network shares our desire to reduce reliance on restrictive practices, and uphold the human rights and dignity of every person.

Cross-Party Group on Learning Disability

Enable provides the Secretariat for the Cross-Party Group on Learning Disability in the Scottish Parliament. This forum lets MSPs meet with people who have a learning disability and groups and organisations who work with them, to discuss topics which impact on human rights.
