Today we are proud to support Employability Day 2026 and this year's theme, #WeGetBritainWorking
Work is about far more than employment. It is about independence, financial security, purpose and the opportunity to fulfil your potential. Yet for too many disabled people, barriers continue to stand in the way of accessing meaningful careers.

At Enable, we believe everyone has the right to live, work and participate fully in their communities. That commitment is reflected in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, where Article 27 recognises the right to work. Turning that right into reality requires more than good intentions. It requires action, collaboration and access to the right opportunities.

Over the past year, more than 10,000 people have accessed support through Enable Works, with over 1,400 people progressing into employment. Most importantly, 76% remain in work 12 months later, more than twice the national average. These outcomes show what is possible when people receive personalised support and employers are supported to create genuinely inclusive workplaces.

Partnership is central to this success. Through our growing All In model, employers, public services and third sector organisations combine their expertise to create stronger pathways into employment. The recent launch of All In Highlands, bringing together eight third sector organisations, is another important step towards ensuring more people and communities can benefit from this collaborative approach.

On Employability Day, we celebrate everyone making this possible: the people taking their next step into work, the employers opening doors, our partners working alongside us and our colleagues whose commitment changes lives every day.

Together, we can build a future where meaningful, sustainable #careers are accessible to everyone, because talent is everywhere, but opportunity must be too.
