Youth Groups

Community groups for young people aged 8-18.

Supported by Motability Foundation

With thanks to the Motability Foundation, Enable are able to support young people, aged 8-18 in 6 different areas in Scotland. Through our inclusive community groups, we aim to improve young people’s mental health, build confidence and self-esteem.  Through our interactive, youth led activities young people develop friendships through their shared experiences and new challenges, whilst having lots of fun!

An important element of our groups is supporting young people to travel independently to allow them to access new opportunities. We encourage the young people we support to develop new skills, and develop local campaigns to address any barriers they encounter when travelling in their local communities, hopefully making changes for future generations!

Children's Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund

With thanks to the Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund in Angus, Enable aim to support young people aged 8-18 in Arbroath to access fun and engaging activities whilst promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. Utilising mental health focussed activities such as mindfulness, art and music therapy, and creating a natural peer support network through friendship, young people are able to build resilience whilst becoming more confident to access their local community.
