Organised by The Herald and S1jobs, these prestigious awards range from flexible working and inclusion to communication and career development, with nominations from businesses across Scotland.
Enable Recruits received the news today that they are a finalist in the Candidate Experience Award, in recognition of the team's efforts to be an inclusive employer.
The team demonstrated how they developed a values-led recruitment strategy focused on showcasing purpose, culture and employee benefits.
By highlighting the impact of frontline care roles and promoting a commitment to inclusion and equality, the team set out to attract individuals who share Enable's vision of creating an equal society where everyone can thrive - in line with the rights set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), in particular Article 27 (work and employment).
The team highlighted how partnership working internally across multiple teams and stakeholders helps to ensure its activities reflect the realities, opportunities and impact of working at Enable.
Testimonials were put forward by Enable staff, in particular Personal Assistant Troy, who works with Enable in South Lanarkshire. He said: "I'd looked at jobs in hospitals but never thought of social care. What made up my mind was seeing a job advertised by Enable to work with a young boy called Daniel. Everyone brings their different life experiences to the team, and that's what makes it a good team effort that gels together."
Elaine Moran, Recruitment Lead, said: "Our strategy follows a values-led recruitment process which focuses on the people we support while ensuring a focused candidate experience. Our internal team strives to create a welcoming culture which meets the demands of social care recruitment. To be shortlisted is recognition of the team's hard work and commitment alongside leading Scottish employers."
