The Centre is a long standing, SQA-accredited assessment centre that supports staff across the organisation to gain the qualifications they need for their roles. These qualifications aren’t just a formality, they are essential for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), and they reflect the knowledge, skill, and commitment our staff bring to their roles every day.
Staff work towards different levels of the Social Services and Healthcare SVQ, depending on their roles. These include nationally recognised qualifications that meet the SSSC’s registration criteria and help ensure best practice in social care:
Every year, the SQA reviews accredited centres in three areas: Resources, Candidate Support, and Internal Assessment & Verification. “High Confidence” means Enable fulfilled compliance in all areas, with no recommendations or conditions.
This is a strong result that reflects the quality of Enable’s internal systems and the commitment of the team behind them.
The External Verifier noted: “The centre strives to support candidates to produce evidence that reflects their role and the type of work they do in practice.”
One candidate, interviewed by the SQA, described their experience: “The induction supported the assessment well, and the assessor was amazing. The whole experience gave me confidence to apply for promoted jobs.”
