Learning Disability Week UK is a powerful opportunity to amplify the voices of people with learning disabilities, celebrate their achievements, and champion real inclusion.
Scottish Learning Disability Week is coming up in September, and we’d love to showcase the stories you share as part of that celebration.
Running from 16th to 22nd June, and led by Mencap, Learning Disability Week aims to shine a light on lived experiences – promoting understanding, challenging stigma, and driving meaningful change.
This year’s theme, “Do you see me?”, is a call to action: to see, hear, and value people with learning disabilities for who they are. It’s about recognising the everyday barriers they face – whether in education, employment, friendships, or access to community life – and working together to break them down.
At Enable, we are committed to creating a world where everyone is included, respected, and supported to thrive.
Whether it’s a story of resilience, a moment of growth, or a challenge overcome – your voice matters. Sharing your experience could help others feel seen, heard, and understood.
For Scottish Learning Disability Week in September, we want to hear from you. If you have a story to share, please get in touch.
