Chair
Calum was appointed chief executive of NHS Lothian in June 2020. One of the largest of the 14 regions of NHS Scotland, NHS Lothian employs 26,000 staff and has an annual budget of £1.6bn. He has previously worked in several Health Boards within NHS Scotland and held various director posts within Scotland and Wales. He was appointed deputy CEO at Swansea NHS Trust, following which appointment he was offered the acting CEO post. He proceeded to turn around a £12.5m financial deficit through clinical redesign initiatives and went on to achieve a further £15.5m savings in the following year. In January 2010 Calum returned to the Scottish NHS system and was appointed chief executive of NHS Borders. Following this, he became CEO of NHS Lanarkshire in 2015, from where he moved to NHS Lothian.

Chris is a highly experienced and respected public policy professional based in the UK, with a focus on technology and digital communications for good. Throughout his professional career, he has spent time working at the centre of government, in consulting, in think tanks and non-profits, and in the technology sector. Chris is director of public policy, northern Europe at Meta. He was previously an executive director at the Tony Blair Institute and a general manager at Uber. His career spans a range of public, private and third sector organisations including McKinsey & Co., Policy Exchange, SCVO, HM Treasury, and the Cabinet Office.

Dr Margaret Whoriskey is Head of the technology enabled care and digital healthcare innovation division within Scottish Government. She is responsible for the national Technology Enabled Care programme which supports at-scale deployment of proven technologies in Scotland. Margaret also leads the International Engagement Team for Digital Health and Care for Scotland. Until November 2015 Margaret was director of the Joint Improvement Team (JIT) in Scotland having joined when it was established in 2005. Margaret trained as a clinical psychologist and worked in clinical and managerial positions in the NHS for many years. From 1998, and prior to joining JIT, Margaret worked in a national capacity with the Scottish Health Advisory Services (latterly NHS Quality Improvement Scotland) and as a commissioner with the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland. Margaret was recently named in the top 10 of the UK’s Digital Leader of the Year Award.

Professor Eleanor Shaw, OBE is an associate principal at the University of Strathclyde with responsibility for the University’s entrepreneurship strategy, 'Strathclyde Inspire'. She is also director of Strathclyde Doctoral School. Eleanor joined Strathclyde in 2001 and became head of the Hunter Centre in 2013. She has been vice dean for Knowledge Exchange and senior vice dean of Strathclyde Business School. In January 2020, Eleanor became an associate principal and joined the University’s executive team. Eleanor’s research is focused on the practice of entrepreneurial networking and firm growth. She focuses on entrepreneurial diversity and her work on women’s, graduate, social and creative entrepreneurship is published in leading journals including Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship, Theory & Practice, Human Relations and International Small Business Journal. Eleanor is an inclusive entrepreneurial leader with more than 25years’ experience of enhancing business growth. Complimenting her research and teaching interests, Eleanor sits on the Council of the Chartered Association of Business Schools, the Small Business Charter Management Board, the People, Talent and Leadership Committee, ScaleUp Institute and is a trustee of the Beatson Cancer Charity. Eleanor joined the Enable group board in 2022.
