Director of Strategy and Development, Enable
Director of Strategy and Development, Enable
Katie is principally responsible for delivering the development and resourcing priorities across the charity group. Katie leads the business development, workforce development, technology and change, marketing and communications, people, finance and policy and research departments. She works closely with the directors of Enable Communities, Enable Works and Enable Cares to ensure we continue to increase our impact on the human rights of citizens through developing new community projects, employment and training opportunities, and self-directed health and social care.
Katie joined Enable in 2012 and has led several transformational change programmes over this period, as the charity has continued to grow and develop its reach and impact across Scotland. Over the last five years in particular, Katie has been pivotal in growing our revenues from £30m to over £60m. This has enabled the charity to extend its reach across Scotland and support more people to live independent lives as active citizens within their local communities. She has been instrumental in ensuring that as the activities of the charity grow, the infrastructure has also developed to support the delivery of that growth.
Katie holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Strathclyde University, having been supported by Enable to access the qualification through part time study. She has a specialist interest in the development of business functions which support high quality human rights driven social care for all.
