Leave a legacy
ENABLE Scotland has a long legacy of supporting people with learning disabilities, and advocating for their rights to participate fully in our society. Since the day we were set up by
a group of concerned parents over 60 years ago, our mission has been to change things and create an equal society for all.
That is our legacy.
Since then, we’ve come a long way. Adults who once lived in long stay hospitals now have their own homes. Children who were once excluded from education and the community can now take part and make friends.
But there’s still a long way to go.
Leaving a gift in your will to ENABLE Scotland can be part of your legacy, and ensure that together, we achieve our ambitions.

There are many options when considering leaving a gift in your will to ENABLE Scotland.
A share of your estate. After you have provided for your loved ones, you can leave a share of what remains to charity. This is known as a ‘residuary gift’.
A cash gift. This is when you leave an exact sum of money to ENABLE Scotland in your will.
A specific gift. Whether it’s an item of furniture, land or jewellery, a specific gift can be donated to ENABLE Scotland. We will consider how to use your gift very carefully.
A gift in trust. You can leave a gift for someone to use over a period of time, and can be specific about its use.
